Inferion is a Black/Death Metal band from Miami Fl. that was formed in 1996. Their first release "Infinite Dying Souls" was recorded in 1998. They recorded and released their second album "Given To The Ground" in 1999. It was less Black Metal and more mid paced Death Metal. In 2002 "Cursed Path" was released followed by the well known "Firewar" in 2003. Inferion played shows along the east coast including performances at the Milwaukee and Tampa metal fests in support of both albums. They began writing new material for The Desolate in 2005 the same year Heaven Ablaze and Inferion released the split in entitled "The Art of Blasphemy (Divine Hatred)" which contained two songs from Firewar and one unreleased track. During this time Nick Reyes made several live performances in Europe under the Inferion name performing noise versions of previous albums. Over the next couple of years, Nick Reyes' other musical obligations as well as his obligation with the Army delayed the release of the album. Their 5th studio album "The Desolate" was released January 2012 followed by "Aborted By The Sun" six months later as a previously recorded (in 2003) but unreleased E.P. In 2013, work on the upcoming album "This Will Decay" began as well as the remixing and release of yet another previously recorded (2004-2007) but unreleased E.P. entitled "Palingenesis". Their 6th studio album "This Will Decay" is available through Horror Pain Gore Death. Currently, all releases are available through Itunes, Bandcamp, Spotify and Amazon.

Info: Another album from the vault. This album was written and recorded from 2005-2007. It was originally planned to be released under a side project name tentatively titled "Farewell My Angel". Unfortunately, it was never officially released. This album shows a temporary departure from the straightforward 'black or white' approach inferion has been known for. Due to the different influences in writting the album, a definitive genre is hard to describe this release. It delves into the Melodic Thrash Metal genre instrumentally, but has more in common with Floridian Death metal as far as structure and vocal conception go. Mastered and Co-mixed by Miami's well known creator of IDM mayhem Otto Von Schirach in order to further blur the boundaries of singular genres.
Info: The first of the 'vault' recordings. This album was written and recorded in 2003 and in 2011. It was originally planned to be released under a side project name tentatively titled "Farewell My Angel". Unfortunately, it was never officially released. Due to a fire that destroyed the Hard drive where all the files were stored in 2004, It was thought to have been lost forever. In 2011, back-up files were found and the album was completed. Polar opposite from most of the Inferion catalog, Aborted By The Sun is an intensely paced Melodic Death Metal assault on the senses. Continuous brutality with barely enough time between songs to catch your breath.
"Brutal, check; non-stop driving aggression, check; relentless, check; this EP delivers that aural assault we all come to know, love and expect from our blackened death dealers." -Myron Schmidt of thisisnotascene.com

Info: The First Inferion release to feature the vastly talented Bassist Frank Gross (ex-Kult Ov Azazel). This release shows no remorse. It's the fastest Inferion album to date. Co-written with long time member and good friend Armando Martinez (Heaven Ablaze) and Diego Angee (of Belzeth and Evil Throne), this album discovers a new level of darkness and aggression never before explored. Fast, fucking brutal, and aggressive The Desolate is an unforgiving Black Metal offering.
"Raging full-speed-ahead black metal."-Greg Pratt BWBK
Info: A duality of extreme Death and Black Metal. The first split album with Miami's well known underground Brutal Death Metal Band Heaven Ablaze. Arts Of Blasphemy sets out to defile and destroy organized religion with an onslaught of Fierce Death and unrelenting Black Metal from two of Miami's extreme metal connoisseurs. Long rumored to have been out of print, it has been re-mixed and re-mastered and is available digitally or on CD.
Info: A collection of some of the angriest War-ish Black Metal to come out of South Florida. This is the first album that multi-instrumentalist Nick Reyes recorded completely by himself. As a result, his vision of dissonant guitar harmonies wrapped around hate filled vocal deliveries took the form of "Firewar" the bands third release. The themes of this album musically and lyrically revolve around destruction, desecration, war, hatred and of course FIRE. This album has long been available only digitally but now, it is available to purchase on CD as well.

Info: After a major shift in musical style, Inferion release the rawest most putrid form of Black Metal on "Cursed Path". Successfully distributed by many cassette tape as well as conventional distro's this album marked a pivitol point in Inferion's existence. The intent of this album was a gritty low-fi production with the analog warmth that tape provided recorded in the most austere conditions Miami could offer. Recorded in a small rehearsal space with no ventilation or air-conditioning in the middle of one of the hottest summers in South Florida "Cursed Path" earns it's place among other notable raw and low-fi Black Metal albums.

Info: Inferion's first full length album. Given To The Ground explores the darker side of life such as death, ceremonial burial, and the transformation of flesh to dust. Due to the different influences while writing this album, "Given To The Ground" takes the form of a mid paced Doom/Death Metal release with fragments of the bands signature Melodic Black/Thrash Metal influence. This release embodies the warm analog sound of bieng recorded on ADAT tape. Long out of print and unavailable until recently. "Given To The Ground" is not only available digitally, but on CD as well.
Info: The very first Inferion release. These songs were mostly Depressive Black/Thrash Metal written in 1997 when the band first started rehearsing. Many performances around the South/Central Florida area assisted the band in funding this release. Inferion was ultimately able to recorded in one of the most famous underground studios in the Miami area at that time, Heaven's Gate Studio. An experimental mixture of digital and analog recording, this album emodies the result of sacrifice and unparalleled dedication that has stood the test of time.
